LCD TV Guide – The Samsung LN52A650 52-Inch LCD TV (1080p 120 Hz)
Samsung is slowly but surely establishing itself as a leading manufacturer of LCD televisions. Currently, among its wide range of LCD televisions, the Samsung LN52A650 LCD HDTV proves to be one of the best of the group. Here's a quick guide to what the buzz surrounding this model is all about.Design: Samsung has broken with the TV standard glossy black frame by adding a touch of red in this model. Although the frames are still predominantly black, a touch of dark red is added to the sides of the panel, especially on the top and bottom edges of the TV.
Personally, I find this to be a pleasant change in design. It gives the whole project an elbow, adding to its' cool factor 'and adding a little' jittery the design.Features: a 120Hz refresh rate, this feature reduces blur in fast moving action sequences. One of my favorite features on the Samsung LN52A650 LCD HDTV is that player is the internet. In has an Ethernet port that allows the TV to access the Internet. Once connected, you can receive live news, weather, TV programs and firmware updates.
You can connect the LCD TV to nearly all electronic devices that can be imagined. It comes with 4 HDMI inputs, RF input (antenna), VGA port, audio ports, and of course a USB port.Performance: The buzz around the Samsung LN52A650 LCD TV is mainly around performance at this level. Many experts and consumers are of the consensus that this model is currently perhaps the best LCD TVs on the market in terms of image and video performance. It should be noted that LCD TVs do not produce blacks as plasma TVs.
The shades of blacks on this model are the deepest I've seen on an LCD HDTV. This makes the image more natural and create a better contrast.
